Seriously “tying the knot”.

Bridal shower, July 16th, 2022

πŸ‘† Okay, how adorable are Bernie’s niece Robin, and her wonderful partner, Bree? πŸ₯°

The proud parents at the bridal shower. Cheers to Kas & Mark!
Robin and her older brother James. Posers!

We LOVED the “rope ceremony”. Apparently the oldest marital ceremony on earth belongs to the ancient Celts. To them, amongst the most valuable of possessions were rope and red dye. This led to red rope being used during wedding ceremonies to “bind” the couple. The rope from the ceremony was one of the couples’ most valuable possessions going forward.

The “Rope Ceremony”.

There was much symbolism in how the rope was tied. It really was quite something.

It of course led to the common expression, “Tying the knot”.

Well done Robin and Bree! πŸ₯°

Sept 17, 2022. It was a breathtakingly beautiful ceremony. Two very happy young ladies!

Spontaneous shots are the best, aren’t they? Luckily Robin has a great sense of humour.

Bernie and her wonderful cousin Debbie.

It was a spectacular night in every possible way.

  1. I had missed this post, and likely some others also. Great pics! We are still awaiting the professional photos which I’m told is not atypical. It was wonderful to have our family here for this happy occasion.

    1. It feels like a really long time since the wedding but it’s only over 2 months ago when you do the math. I hope you can share them online when you do get them.
