Rain is a bit odd here. Incredibly intense over incredibly small areas. And always on the east shore of Moloka’i.
Why doesn’t it hit the west side of Maui?? We love a tropical deluge.

You never know what you are going to see at happy hour! Gotta keep the phone handy.

It really does. Tropical rain is nothing like Canadian or Norwegian rain (otherwise known as snow).

I love watching the rain come across water like that. Drapes of water is a brilliant way to describe it.

Thank you Lyndsay. Sometimes the rain is limited to such a small area that it looks like a pillar! ðĪŠ

Where is happy hour? Is there a special Hawaiian HH drink?

On the balcony. We have about a 90° view towards the NNW, allowing us to see about half of Moloka’i.
Mai Tai’s are the best Hawaiian drink. Majorly yummy, but a wee bit too expensive on the caloric sides of things. So we stick to tradition: a Dave-tini and a glass of white wine. ðļ
