Our friends Bob and Linda said “I do” after building a life together for the past 30 years. Longest engagement I have ever heard of! It was a lovely day in the perfect location. Bernie and I were honoured to witness this truly historical event. There was a fancy lunch:

Soooo, a bunch of us went “full tourist” last night. Did the Luau-thing. It seems that the camera caught Bernie and I during our first sip of their version of a Mai Tai. They really weren’t good. A wonderful mix…
Yesterday was a great mix of Canadians, Norwegians and Americans with good food and good cocktails. Today was a mix of just about everything…except snow (sorry Canada). Still no pot of gold.

It’s not lava.
There is a huge brush fire above Lahaina (in the Kauaula valley) that has disappeared and restarted several times. We are not the least bit surprised given how dry the west coast of Maui is! If one didn’t know better, one might think a side vent in Mauna Kahalawai had opened up. The smoke drifts…

This little rainbow ended right below us, on the beach! In all our years we have never seen the end of a rainbow. Or a pot of gold. Or a leprechaun.

A hike, flowers and crab cakes.
