Pippin time.

Every marriage requires compromise. Long ago we came to an agreement on how to spend our vacation time. Half is “David time”, that is, R&R. This is something I have a PhD in. The other half is “Pippin time”, which is a nod to the Hobbit of that name who “…had to look.” Bernie has to see everything, wherever we are. It usually involves a lot of movement, which I try to do with minimal whining. I don’t always succeed.

Today, it was her turn. Another €✓®©×•-$:!+ hike.

I had such enthusiasm. It was all in front of me. But I didn’t whine!
This was the start. A gentle incline.
I gotta admit the trees were amazing. This is called an Octopus Tree.
Eucalyptus trees really should have Koala bears in them. 😠
Some of the views were okay.
Was tempted to find a spot and lay down…
The hike utilized the paths on an abandoned golf course. I bet this was a par 3.
Birdies galore!
Trees that are wider than they are taller are weird. Such trees don’t exist in Alberta.

    1. Although most people try and get their walks in in the early part of the day, it’s rather warm and muggy all day long. We brought lots of water with electrolytes in it.
