Tide pools on the moon.

Parts of this trek were like the moon! Not a place for being clumsy. Our pace could be described as “one level below moseying along”.

Kapalua Bay

👆 Then again, there were the places where one stopped and just took it in. I called it “Posh Beach”. The hotel above it had to be 5🌟…and mostly empty.

Extraordinary photo Bernie caught!!

  1. Kapalua Bay is a great spot. The Merriman’s hotel/restaurant is right there and it is a great place to sit and watch the sunset.
There is good snorkeling at the right side of Kapalua Bay, out by the rocks.

    1. We’ll go back to Kapalua Bay to snorkel for sure! Dave and I tried to play in the water in front of our present location and the waves are too big for either of us. We ate lunch at the Sea House. It was good and reasonably priced. At the end far end of our hike we stopped at the Burger Shack on Fleming Beach to wet our whistle and the mai tai’s were $22 US each. 😳
