The cost of pie.

We went out to “Warren and Annabelle’s Magic show” in Lahaina last night (thanks Chris & Jen for the recommendation). The dinner was fabulous and the magic show is both hysterical and incredible. I gave up trying to figure out how these “close-in” magicians do their ‘thing’. Though pricey we thought it was well worth it. If you are ever in Maui don’t miss it.

The cost of pie was not $3.14. 😁

It was a 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) walk and sore feet and hips.

In my quest to become “David-of-the-shrinking-waistline” I now pay a heavy price for over-indulgence.

Starting at 7:45 (AM!), we barged our way through the hordes of miserable joggers (Deb, I have still never seen a happy one!), to try and beat the heat. Almost three hours later, we made it back to the car…after stumbling through the supermarket for a few items that justified our presence in their air conditioning.

I *might* be hobbling.

But there were some kinda cool sights:

  1. Love the story of Annabelle. One never knows does one.. The pie looks delish. Whose surfboard wound up in a Christmas tree??

    1. It’s a good story, but had trouble with him “…not being scared.” 🤣

The pies were obscenely good. Almost worth the true price!

I dunno whose surfboard that is, but I hope that wasn’t all that was left of him/her!

  2. Sounds like a neat show you saw. Something to look into next time in Maui.

  3. Looks like you two are having lots of fun counterbalanced by good exercise. We loved seeing the big Christmas Tree at the shops in Kaanapali when we were there last December.

    1. Thanks Marian. We are actually trying to shrink a bit. It’s a chore!

That tree is very festive, despite being rather bizarre. Lol.
