Angry water, red sand and a few nice views

So, yesterday we did a road trip, Maui style. Which means the road to and from Hana. Seven-ish hours of driving from where we are in Ka’anapali. And approximately 5000 turns of the steering wheel.

👆 This be the curviest road on earth, so it’s not for anyone with motion sickness.

Kaenae Point. Thank you for the suggestion Marian!

Some angry water indeed. YIKES.

Bernie LOVED it
Some strange wildlife at Hanawi Falls.
That HAD to hurt! 😵‍💫

But the most amazing sight of all was “Kaihalulu Beach”. The sand was red. Like the colour of my wife if she forgets to put on sunscreen.

This invisible cavern was awesome. Sucked in water then spewed it out.
It was a good day.

  1. I remember that drive well. My passenger did get motion sickness, all over the car.

    1. Thanks Dad. It was a very long but lovely day. We tried to see the black sand beach as well, but were unaware that it requires a reservation. We were turned away. 😡
