These two photos were taken at about the same time in relation to the tide. You can see how much sand has been lost in only one month – displaced by longshore current and the odd storm! Based on the number of bags now exposed it looks like 4-6′. I am told that there will be little beach left by Christmas.

The people here cross their fingers that the beach will return in the spring. Can you imagine the drop in equity if it doesn’t??

(Pssst…As a geologist, I would never buy here!)
