Last time we were in Waikiki we had just flown from Cairns via Brisbane and the beach was so crowded we couldn’t even sit beside each other on our towels! Looks much better in your beautiful pics! Safe travels to NZ. Can’t wait to see the next chapter of your excellent adventure!

That sounds dreadful! Based on what we see, it hasn’t changed much. But Waikiki is spectacular and so will always be in high demand.
It is also noticeable how much warmer it is here vs where we were in Maui. Not so much wind!
