A Shotover Queenstown.

Queenstown is yet another gorgeous city on a massive lake. The jagged mountains are incredibly beautiful and imposing! We were fortunate to have a view from our hotel room.

Jan 25th, 2023. The entire front of the room could slide open!

And, one does not go to Queenstown and NOT do the Shotover Gorge jetboat!

The Shotover Gorge and river. Trivia – it was one of the hot spots of the Central Otago Gold Rush. They still pan for alluvial gold here.
That’s us in the 2nd last row. Definitely not for the faint of heart!

    Yowza!!! Does that boat ever hit those cliffs your run up in the rocks!!? Lol! I might have gotten nauseous!! Does look fun tho!!

      It often felt like we were going to hit the rocks. It was exhilarating to say the least. 🚤💨
