The way of water and moss.

Yesterday was NOT a death-march! No four hour trek over a mountain and down skree slopes, whilst battling angry flying things that bite and invisible threads that stick to your face. πŸ•·οΈπŸ•ΈοΈ

It was MY kind of hike. Short and gorgeous, and a 5 minute drive from our house! Maybe a 50 metre elevation change. A little nature preserve called “Stocking Creek Park” included a bridge and a creek of the same name. Three trails: Huckleberry, Kon (we are near the airport, so the “Kon Trail” makes sense, 😁) and the Cowichan Valley Trail.

Stocking Falls.
David and Bernie go full zen.
And of course, TREES!! 😍

    1. It really was. The lack of a place to sit or throw down a blanket is probably why it’s still so pristine..😍

Viggo, not so much. It took less than a day.

    1. It truly is Linda. Very much like Tassie! Unfortunately, with the fear of lurking cougars and possible bears I can’t enjoy these surroundings unless I have Dave with me. Lucky for me, he humours me every so often with a nice trek!
